The Stakeholders of Venice (SOV) group is different and separate from the Venice Stakeholders Association (VSA).
SOV has been formed to counter-balance the actions of the VSA which, among other things, supports gentrification and is attempting to force the highly controversial Overnight (Permit) Parking Districts (OPDs) on Venice residents.
SOV members are interested in keeping the free Spirit of Venice alive ~ we support:
- NOPDs in Venice
- no dog park in Oakwood Park
- the non-gentrification of Venice
- more affordable housing in Venice
- the non-commercialization of the Free Speech Zone
- fair and honest representation in the Venice Neighborhood Council (VNC)
Through this blog, Facebook and email we plan to keep SOV members informed and updated on important developments in the above issues. We will hold events and actions as and when necessary. To stay informed please join our group on Facebook or send us an email.
